The Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency in collaboration with the Croatian Chamber of Economy invites you to a free online workshop entitled “Personal Data Protection and Harmonization with the GDPR in the Health sector”, which will be held on Thursday, November 19, from 9 am to 3 pm.

The workshop is intended exclusively for data controllers and processors in healthcare sector therefore its programme is adapted to the specific needs and concerns that healthcare professionals encounter in their daily work related to compliance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the personal data protection legal framework.
The participants of workshop will have the opportunity to get familiarized with the legal framework in the field of personal data protection, and the focus of the workshop is on specific aspects in the field of personal data protection in the health sector, such as internal documents for harmonisation with the GDPR, technical and organisational measures, i.e. measures to be taken to protect personal data, processing personal data in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, forwarding, providing access to personal data to third parties (e.g. insurance companies), insight into medical records in criminal cases, etc.
The practical examples will also clarify certain ambiguities related to the protection of personal data that appear in the everyday work of healthcare professionals.
This workshop is one of the activities of AZOP within the framework of the EU project ARC (Awareness raising campaign for SMEs), with the aim of supporting micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in harmonizing business processes with the provisions of the GDPR.
Participation at the workshop is free of charge and the number of participants is limited to 200.
