ARC Online workshop for SMEs from Krapina- Zagorje County, 8 December 2020
AZOP in cooperation with the Croatian Chamber of Economy, on Tuesday, December 8, organized a free online workshop “How to comply with the GDPR” for two hundred micro, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs from Krapina-Zagorje County.
During the training, participants had the opportunity to learn about basic provisions and concepts from the GDPR (what personal data is, who is controller/processor, data subject, rights of data subjects), as well as their obligations when collecting and processing personal data with examples from practice.
In addition to lectures on the legislative framework on personal data protection, the interactive workshop also consisted of practical exercises, but also provides an opportunity for SMEs to ask questions during the workshop in order to clarify all doubts.
Participants also received some of the templates for the application of the GDPR, which can then be adapted to their business processes, as well as a certificate of completed education.
The workshops are conducted within the framework of the EU project ARC (Awareness Raising Campaign for Small and Medium Enterprises) co-financed by the European Union Programme for Rights, Equality and Citizenship, coordinated by AZOP, in partnership with the Irish Data Protection Commission, and the University of Vrije from Brussels.
Interactive workshops will continue next year, so that all interested entrepreneurs could have the opportunity to gain the necessary knowledge to adequately implement GDPR provisions, which are mandatory for all companies in the European Union, as well as for all those companies that are processing personal data of the European citizens.
